Privacy Policy
Effective: October 4, 2026 · Applies to: the INKPOTTER app for iOS and iPadOS
This Privacy Policy explains what information Keisuke Uemura ("we," "us") collects through INKPOTTER (the "App"), how we use it, and the choices available to you. If anything here is unclear, please contact us at the address under Contact before using the App.
1. Summary
- The App is a social, publishing service. Anything you sign in and "Save to Server" becomes public content, viewable on the web by anyone who has the link.
- A draft in progress stays on your device only, regardless of sign-in state, and is never transmitted until you explicitly tap "Save to Server."
- Saving requires signing in with Sign in with Apple. Drawing itself never requires sign-in.
- We never sell your personal information, and never use what you draw to train machine-learning models or target ads.
- Ads in the App are limited to non-personalized ads that are never targeted using your activity or content.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account information
Sign-in uses Sign in with Apple. The email address Apple provides is stored only in our authentication provider (Amazon Cognito) and is never included in post data or any other record the App keeps. The only thing the App itself associates with your posts is an anonymous identifier tied to your Apple sign-in.
2.2 Content you post
Work you "Save to Server" (stroke data and the finished image) is, by the nature of the App as a social service, stored as public content viewable by anyone who has the share link. A draft that hasn't been saved to the server exists only on your device and is never sent to us.
2.3 Automatically collected information
We process technical information needed to operate the service (request timestamps, approximate data size, error logs) solely to run, maintain, and troubleshoot it. We never use this for ad-targeting profiling.
2.4 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The History screen has a single ad slot served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). Every ad request explicitly asks for non-personalized ads only — your activity in the App and anything you post are never used for ad targeting. We've also flagged the App to Google as one children may use (COPPA-directed treatment), which triggers additional serving restrictions on Google's side. For what Google independently collects and processes to serve ads, see Google's own privacy policy.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect only to:
- Provide core features — sign-in, posting
- Maintain the security and integrity of the service, including preventing unauthorized access
- Send necessary notices, such as about sign-in or changes to this policy
- Respond to inquiries you send us
- Comply with applicable law
We never use what you post to train AI models, build ad-targeting profiles, or sell to third parties.
4. Where Data Is Stored
Data saved to our servers is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the Asia Pacific (Tokyo) region, Japan. If you use the App from outside Japan, your information will be transferred to and processed in Japan. By signing in and using "Save to Server," you consent to this transfer.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Work saved to our servers is kept until you delete your account from the App's Settings tab. Deleting your account removes everything you've saved and clears your sign-in from the device. This generally cannot be undone. To request deletion of an individual post instead, contact us at the address under Contact.
If we ever discontinue the Service itself, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance, but we may delete all data stored on our servers once it has ended. See the Terms of Service for details.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA). Contact us at the address below and we'll respond within a reasonable time as required by applicable law.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed specifically at children, but we've designed it to be safe for children to use: ads are limited to non-personalized ads, and we've flagged the App to Google AdMob as one children may use (COPPA-directed treatment). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country) beyond what's needed to operate the App. If you believe a child's information was collected inappropriately, please contact us and we'll address it promptly.
8. Third-Party Services
We use the following providers to operate the App:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting, authentication, and storage
- Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple and App Store distribution
- Google LLC (Google AdMob) — non-personalized ad serving
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and notify you in the App or by email as appropriate. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
10. Contact
