KEISHIKI

A quiet place to face your writing, vertical or horizontal.

KEISHIKI (罫色) is a text editor for macOS and iOS. It works well for novels, long-form writing like papers, documents such as proposals and contracts, and idea notes. It supports both vertical writing (macOS only) and horizontal writing, and shows character and page counts using the traditional Japanese manuscript-paper (400 characters per page) standard. Organize long texts into chapters and sections, keep memos right next to your writing, and export a properly formatted PDF ready for printing or submission.

Manuscript-paper page counts

On macOS, real vertical-writing character flow is supported. Character and page counts are shown accurately, using the conventional 400-characters-per-page standard.

Chapters and sections

From shelves and boxes down to chapters and sections, organize long writing with a structure built for it — whatever you're writing, from novels to papers to contracts.

Memos right beside your text

Keep settings, ideas, reference material, and draft notes right next to the page you're writing, without ever leaving it.

PDF export

Export a polished PDF — with cover page, chapter titles, and page numbers — ready to print or submit as-is.

Sync is optional

KEISHIKI works fully offline by default. Create a free account only if you want to sync your writing across devices.

Your writing stays yours

What you write belongs to you. KEISHIKI never reads, analyzes, or claims any rights to your content.
